Dashboard Overview

Understand the DriftSensor dashboard - stats cards, charts, activity feed, and navigation.

The Dashboard Home

When you log in, you land on the Dashboard - your central monitoring hub at app.driftsensor.com/dashboard. It gives you an at-a-glance view of all your DNS monitoring activity.

Stat Cards

The top of the dashboard shows key metrics as clickable cards:

CardWhat It ShowsLinks To
Total DomainsCount of all domains in your accountDomains page
Active DomainsDomains currently being monitored (with green trend indicator)Domains filtered by active status
Inactive DomainsDomains with monitoring pausedDomains filtered by paused status
Alerts DispatchedTotal email and webhook notifications sentAlerts page

Global Admins also see a Total Customers card showing the number of registered tenants.

Charts

Below the stat cards, three charts visualize your monitoring data:

  • Domain Status - A donut chart showing the ratio of active to inactive domains.
  • Monitoring Intervals - A bar chart showing how your domains are distributed across check frequencies (5 min, 15 min, 1 hr, etc.). This helps you spot if most domains are using longer intervals than needed.
  • Alert Types - A pie chart breaking down notifications by channel (Email, Webhook, Microsoft Teams).

DNS Security Health

The DNS Security Health widget provides a security score overview:

  • Average Security Score (0–100) with a letter grade (A through F).
  • Critical Issues count requiring immediate attention.
  • Grade Distribution - A colored bar showing how many domains score A–B (secure), C (fair), or D–F (at risk).
  • Domains Needing Attention - A list of at-risk domains with direct links to their detail pages.
  • Check All button to trigger a full security audit across all domains.

Activity Feed

Two activity panels show recent events:

Recent Changes

The last 5 DNS record changes detected across your domains. Each entry shows:

  • Record type badge (A, CNAME, MX, etc.)
  • Domain name and hostname
  • Old value → New value comparison
  • Relative timestamp

Recent Alerts

The last 5 dispatched notifications with:

  • Channel icon (Email, Teams, or Webhook)
  • Notification description
  • Associated domain
  • Timestamp

Domain Groups Summary

If you've organized domains into groups, a summary panel shows up to 6 groups with their domain counts. Click any group to jump directly to it.

Quick Summary

A metrics panel shows:

  • Monitoring Coverage - Progress bar indicating what percentage of your domains are actively monitored.
  • Recent Changes - Count of detected DNS changes.
  • Interval Distribution - Colored badges showing your top monitoring intervals (admin users only).

The left sidebar provides access to all sections of DriftSensor:
