When the trial ends:
- Your account moves to the Free plan.
- Excess domains are paused (only the oldest one stays active).
- Monitoring intervals are raised to 24 hours.
- Webhooks are disabled.
- Extra users are deactivated (admins stay active).
Upgrade anytime during or after the trial to keep your full configuration.
Billing Page
Navigate to Settings → Billing to manage your subscription.
Only Tenant Admin, MSP Admin, and Global Admin can access billing. MSP sub-customers see a "Billing is managed by your MSP administrator" message.

Quick Actions
- Change Plan - Opens the plan selection dialog. Choose a new plan and billing cycle.

Changing Plans
Upgrading
When you upgrade, the change takes effect immediately. You're charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing cycle.
No Downgrades
DriftSensor uses an upgrade-only model. If you no longer need a paid plan, cancel your subscription instead. You'll keep full access until the end of your billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free plan. Plan limits (domains, webhooks, users, etc.) are automatically applied at that point.
Payment
DriftSensor uses Stripe for secure payment processing. When you upgrade:
- Click Change Plan and select your new plan.
- You're redirected to Stripe's secure checkout page to enter payment details.
- After payment, you're redirected back to DriftSensor with your new plan active.
Managing Payment Methods
Click Manage Billing to open the Stripe Customer Portal where you can:
- Update your credit card or payment method
- View and download invoices
- Update billing information
Invoice History
The billing page shows a paginated list of your invoices with dates, amounts, statuses, and download links.
MSP Addon Domain Packs
MSP plan only.
The MSP plan starts with 100 domains. Need more? Purchase addon domain packs:
| Pack | Additional Domains | Price |
|---|---|---|
| +100 Domains | 100 | $49/month |
| +500 Domains | 500 | $199/month |
| +1,000 Domains | 1,000 | $349/month |
Each addon is a separate recurring subscription - you can purchase multiple packs and cancel them independently. Your effective domain limit is the base 100 plus all active addon domains.
Manage addons from the MSP Add-on Domains section on the Billing page. It shows your current addon domains, base limit, and effective total.
Subscription Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Trial | Free trial period (7 days). No payment required. |
| Active | Paid subscription in good standing. |
| Past Due | Payment failed. Update your payment method to avoid service interruption. |
| Canceled | Subscription will end at the current period's close. |
| Expired | Trial or subscription has ended. Account is on the Free plan. |
What Happens on Payment Failure
If a payment fails, your subscription moves to Past Due status. A red banner appears in the dashboard prompting you to update your payment method. You have a 15-day grace period to resolve the issue. If the payment remains unresolved after 15 days, your subscription will be canceled and your account will revert to the Free plan.
